Lightworkers intuitively know which frequencies of consciousness can help them and which could hinder them. Nevertheless, psychologists love to categorize these things, giving them names and numbers.
If you consider that higher consciousness leads the way to the journey home to our ultimate Source, then a scale of frequencies of consciousness could act like a road map helping you on your journey through life. It can even point out potholes in the road ahead.
Psychologist-researcher David R Hawkins (1927-2012) spent many years investigating the effects of the whole frequency range of human consciousness. In his book, Power vs. Force, he assigned numbers to the different frequencies of consciousness, rating world-class avatars like Jesus and Buddha at 1,000 at the top of his scale and then numbers running all the way down to near-zero, somewhere deep in the depths of despair.
The Hawkins Scale was not the first attempt at quantifying levels of consciousness. Professor Clare W. Graves (1914-1986) was another pioneer who thought outside of the box and produced work that led to the 1996 book, Spiral Dynamics. In that eye-opening work, the evolution of society throughout history was defined in levels that started with caveman consciousness and then rose all the way to the modern-day peak of self-actualization.
In my 2005 book, The Shift: The Revolution in Human Consciousness, I compared and matched the levels defined in Spiral Dynamics to the natural frequencies of the human chakra system. Human consciousness is not limited to the brain; it operates through different chakras, providing a frequency-based view of reality. For example, a mathematician loves to operate through the higher aspect of the solar plexus chakra while a caring nurse operates primarily through the lens of their heart chakra.
In The Shift book, I also noted the correlation of the potential twelve stages of Spiral Dynamics with the musical octave. The seven major keys in an octave correlate with the seven major chakras but, when you also take into account the upper and lower faces of the central chakras, you have a total of twelve chakra stages that match all twelve keys in a musical octave.
On his scale of 1 to 1,000, Hawkins rated neutral consciousness at 250. Above that level, humans flourish. Below 250, suffering sets in. As a psychologist, he went into great detail in the varieties of lower consciousness. Courage is rated at 200, but is more appropriately seen as a positive achievement because it is the passport out of the fear-based lower frequencies.
Below 200, Hawkins rates pride and anger, both of which correlate to the frequency of the sacral chakra. Moving down to 100, fear raises its unwelcome head and leads the way down toward grief, apathy, guilt, and shame, all of which resonate to the survival instinct frequency of the base chakra.
Above the 250 neutrality rating, he notes willingness and acceptance, all of which are facets of solar plexus consciousness, as is reason. Recent centuries, since the Renaissance, have been largely devoted to the rise of reason, which is the active expression of the solar plexus chakra. With this expression, dawned the Age of Science and the Industrial Revolution.
Today, with The Shift to higher consciousness accelerating into its critical phase, a large part of humanity is mastering the sense of kindness and helpfulness that comes with heart chakra consciousness, while the leading edge is awakening the intuitive soul connection that lies just beyond that stage.
